Should be okay, it's only 1/2" deep. You can always pull it up slightly once the new roots are establish... but I don't think that is really necessary. Amazon swords are quite robust plants.
Just received a few big bare rooted Amazon swords plants, they are NOT one of those mother plants but pretty close, measuring clost to 20 inches tall.
Problem:
-They arrived bare roots and not much roots, about 2-3 inches.
-Couldn't get it to stay if only the roots were planted and leave crown above substrate.
-So they are now planted pretty deep, crowns are about 1/2" under substrate. I also put a few small rocks on top of the substrate to secure the plants.
-0.5" of substrate plus the small rocks, the crowns are now like an inch or 1 1/2" under.
Is this ok? if not, what can I do?
Thanks for helping.

Shouldn't be a problem. Give it some fertiliser stick at the base and it should spur some growth.

Juggler's tanks
As long as the leaves are still above the substrate, should be ok. What size gravel are you using? The normal 1-3mm diamater gravel should not give you any problems.
The issue with planting too deep is that the new leaves have a hard time pushing thru the gravel. The new leaves will grow form the centre of the crown of leaves, so keep that area clear of large pebbles and remove some of the gravel or loosen the gravel there.
If you are really worried, let them float for a week or more... Roots will grow, then you can plant them. Or do what juggler does with baby or spare plants. Secure the crown to rubber suckers and stick them to the tank walls... same effect as floating, except they don't block as much light and the leaf growth remains upright.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Here's the hanging pot Vinz was referring to.

Thanks guys,
I am going to wait and see how the plants adapt before pulling or moving them. The tank is a little too deep and wide (6' x 2' x 2') so moving them is quite a lot of work.
