Gobies are amongst, if not the most diverse fish families, with thousands of species known from marine, brackish and freshwater habitats. In fact, there's enough of them to fill a whole book, to be launched on 25 Aug at the Science Centre. Look out for Gobies of Singapore, a new edition in the Science Centre/BP Guidebook series on nature in Singapore!

Also to be launched concurrently is a new book on figs of Singapore. There's not only the Banyan. Several other species of fig are commonly found here, including the Bo tree of Buddha's enlightenment fame.
