I read that Java Ferns as well as other types of ferns cannot have their roots buried in the substrate as they will rot. Therefore, I'am thinking of growing them by attaching them to a plastic mesh rather then driftwood or rock. This is similar to how one would grow a moss wall. Except that I'am attaching Java Ferns instead. Will this work?

    Yes, it should...
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Put suckers and stick to the back wall... instant Java fern background.
