Hi! Got a story to share. I had this prawn who was the only prawn in my 2 ft tank. He does a good general maintainence job by eating up loose debris, dead fishes, etc.
I dun have a habit of giving my pets a name, so we'll jus call him Prawn.

She's a real spunky gal who trots around like she is the queen of the tank, although there are bigger fishes around. I once put in another prawn about half size bigger than him. She chased the the other one to a corner and terrorised the it whenever she felt like it. Alas, the other prawn died (of stress?)

I post this thread in honour of my champ of a prawn whom has been with me for a good one year. She's just a prawn (not even a yamaki or malayan) that showed a lot of strength and character.

There'll be none other like him...

Anyone has stories of their fav aquaria pets to share?

Here's a pix of her eating a badi badi that's not yet dead.
A real sicko but that how she is, my champ.

what's the beauty in an apisto? educate me on this. I saw some with Kelvin, they look like they've got a lot of attitude for a fish.[]

I'm confused, is that a he or a she?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    Simon,
Apistomania? Geez, I hope I wont get 'hooked' coz this is one expensive fish to buy.

Do they live long? Are they easy to breed?
