Feeding of shrimps

hi guys, when u have shrimps in a planted tank, do u guys still feed them or leave them to look for food on their own?

for food, will small fish pellets do?

I feed mine with Hikari Algae wafer.

I feed them once per day with Sera flake or Sera cichlid stick. (Just the left over fish pellet...) IF i m going for holiday, i will put some carrot, cucumber or spinach inside the tank. Normally they will take days to finish.
