Was little difficult to pump the water up..at the end 6 air tubes...one week already. Just keeping a few white cloud to prevent mosquitoe problem. Maybe will keep a couple exotic newt when the moss fully attached onto the wood.

Good job! I really wonder how you guys get those plants other than plucking them from trees around. The notion of trying to yank off ferns and all seems weird

I like it! But the wire in the middle of the tank is quite an eyesore. Can it be hidden?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

I have the same problem with wires in my small tanks, just push them behind the plants to hide it, once they grow bigger it will completey covered the wire

    Thanks,

    What's ADF?

I used 3 big pc of driftwood and a few small pc, the two plants are planted on ADA soil, I have 5 types of moss inside but then I am afraid that they don't have enough light after I did this smoky thing....I have two carnivorous plants and an small orchid inside too...

    Cheers,

Another lesson learned, after adding the smoky thing and plus the already-inside power head, plus the hot temperature here, the water reached 37 C, and all fish died.

    37C?!? No wonder all ...

The powerhead must have added a lot of heat... coz with my internal filter the highest I ever got was 32C (without fan for my planted tank). Did not know that powerhead generates so much more heat.
    Cheers,
    Joe

I used a powerhead for my 1.5ft, so far the temp. is abt 29ºC, perhaps the water level is to shallow for the powerhead. I don't think the mist maker generates much heat.
