Hey, I have a fluval roma 240 which is heavily planted and running co2. I have a fluval 306 external filter and I'm looking to fit a uv steraliser, any ideas which one I should get?

    Fluval 306 - 206 gallons per hour.

To kill micro-organisms (and not just to clear up green water), you need about 1 w per 10gph = about 20w sterilizer Can consider Aquazonic 18w UV.

I am using Aquazonic 11w UV at the moment and happy with the performance. The price was pretty ok, think it was $58 (can't remember if there was further 15% discount that Seaview usually gives). I only run it 4.5 hours a day.

So far, no sick fish, no green water.

Your Fluval Roma 240 tank has a volume of 240L ~ 63 gallons.

An in-line 11W or 18W sterilizer would suffice.
Based on a guideline of 1.5x tank size, running around 60-90gph through the UV system would be ideal for sufficient level of sterilization.
If your filter flow rate is too high, then T off some flow and control the flow rate with a ball valve to achieve the desired flow rate.
