Just wondering if they are good for stablizing my 4 ft tank. Just started the system and realised there are eggs on a few of my plants. Will it be advisable to keep them in the tank until I am ready to introduce my 'actual' inhabitants into the tank? BTW, do they make a good meal for larger-sized fishes?

Some tadpoles might make a good meal for larger fishes but mostly smaller fishes ignore them. Depending on the species, you might get one that produces tadpoles with a poison gland. Those critters will easily kill your fish if they got ingested.

I would suggest that you remove the eggs ASAP before they start hatching out.

Alternatively, they might be snail eggs instead of frog eggs. Especially if they are attached to the plants in a jelly/gel like substance.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
