I think you meant Canon S2 IS
S2 is so different from the Panasonic's. If you prefer more control, the closer Panasonic models are FZ5 or FZ20/30.
Can find more info in the forums at clubsnap.org.

if you are serious about photography, go for a DSLR. no matter what they tell you, a digicam sensor cannot produce comparable image quality against a DSLR.

i'm still quite new to photography don wanna buy a DSLR yet. but will defintely get one in the future
a high-end digicam is quite close in price to entry DSLR, so consider carefully.

It's with KF now.Originally Posted by hwchoy
I think you will find a 350D more than suitable for your needs. Costing only marginally more than a G6 these days. You already own all the necessary accessories. You may still get some $$ back from your G5 when you upgrade. Your total upgrading cost may be less than you think.

Bah, just go for a cheap 300D. It's got a slightly screwy auto-focus but it gets the job done.
ah you should get a digicam, like a G5, no real shutter.Originally Posted by TanVincent
