seen kenzo using some fishing line and suction cups on the water line to prevent duckweed frm getting stuck, perharps Kenzo would wanna comment
oh yes.. duckweed is as pesky as Riccia IMO...... maybe you should consider replacing it with frogbits instead.
use fishnet to scoup loh. scoup every other day until cannot find anymore.
Riccia on the other hand.... bo bian, pick manually.
that's not kenzo, that's ervine
just scoop out the duckweed as you see it
it's only second to bladderwort in terms of pervasity imo
joestoys.. how's the plants and the frogbits???[]
Let us work together to preserve the world for our children to inherit by being responsible to our surroundings. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, bubbles and memories.
Get a medium sized Angel, it will have it as snacks.
I dumped all the excess or harvested duckweeds inside my Angel tank and they finished it 2 hrs later.[]

BTW, if you have lots of duckweeds that grow too well in your planted tanks, isn't that going to block off most of your lights into your tank?

Nanjafly,
That's rite. You'll have to regularly remove them. Same goes for frogbits. Did not remove the frogbits dor sometime, it covered the everywhere. My fish and plants did not like it at all.
