how do you stop your fishes from eating the daphnia before the daphnia clean up the green water?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

You put a fine mesh net in the water, pour the daphnias into the net and watch your water go clear Or you could remove your fish for awhile.
As for where to get daphnias, Aquastar aquarium(I think) it's pretty near khatib camp. The farm at pasir ris. Me, also in pasir ris(though I can only spare a few, my culture hasn't matured yet)
Quite afew LFS selling. That's Aquarium at Yishun 618, Lam Hong at AMK 161.
Comes in packet at 50Cents and $1.
And make sure they're alive when you buy them

Taste the water!
Daphnias are small and round, the don't always have to be pink.
I have no idea what BBS look like.
Or just ask the shop keeper
Note: the daphnia we get here are daphniidae moina.
for BBS even when small can see that they look a little like shirmps. just look closer and u can see it
Wow... The last time I bought daphnia was like 10 years ago!... Hmm... Let me recall... BBS are like orange specks in water, looks like adult brineshrimps but VERY small... Daphnia is roundish in shape and usually not orange in colour... Grayish, at the most, if I didn't remember properly... And yes, taste the water to be accurate! No lah... you can smell for the salt water smell for BBS or adult brineshrimps...
