hi guys, need some advise on dosing. I am really a noob in that...

My tank size is 55L = 14US Gallons

I am using Seachem line of liquid fert for dosing now.
Following their instructions, i should be dosing (2 times weekly)
    N - 0.85ml (2.5ml per 160L)
    P - 1.7ml (2.5ml per 80L)
    k - 2.2ml (5ml per 125L)
    Fe - 1.4ml (5ml per 200L)

when I check my dosing using APC fert calculator, the concentration is
    N - 1.06 ppm (10-20)
    P - 0.14 ppm (0.50-2)
    K - 2.4 ppm (10-20)
    Fe - 0.26 ppm (0.1)

All these are way below the recommended values! (except for Fe)
Should I ignore the instructions and increase my dosage? please enlighten me the dosage and frequency if I wish to follow the EI method. thanks!

    Thanks Shadow for advise

    10ml of N = 12ppm (10-20)
    10ml of P = 0.8ppm (0.5-2)
    10ml of K = 12.5ppm (10-20)

That's a lot! Any bro here using Seachem as well? Can help verify?

Normally you would use dry fert for EI dosage, however, due to the banning of Potasium Nitrate, you need to use nitrogen as an alternative but that is going to cost you as you already found out. You could, however, use pottasium sulphate for K, that should save you some money

You can also use CaN03 for the N and KH2PO4 for P, I would no recomend K2SO4 since it killing my shrimps, not sure if it is only my experience or other people as well. My guess is the SO4 isn't good for shrimps

The problem with KH2PO4 is that in order to dose enough K, the PO4 will go extremely high??

you can still use seachem K or other brand to provide the K and the rest are dry fert.

Nope! If you use KNO3 or CaNO3, the potassium inside is more than sufficient, you dont have to increase KH2PO4. There's EI formula to follow.

I don't think so, the long formula is Ca(NO3)2.4(H20), no potassium
