    Hi Guys,

I just wish to know how to take probably decent shots as close to what Benny and Chris had.

    Benny's Photography

(Rupert, borrowed your tank as an example )

    Chris's Photography

I do not have a high end camera nor any lenses/flash.
I just have a Dimage Z3 and an "decent" Tripod stand, have not been able to get an offer from ClubSnap

How does it works to get those shots with having the tank's vertical glass parallel to the camera screen?
I just wish to take the whole tank picture without having too see the cabinet or anything beside the tank, probably a shot with the glass thickness will be excellent.
I tried cropping my photos, but everything don't seems to be in parallel
    Regards,
    Izzat

I don't think you must have high end digital camera to take decent shots, take a look at these tips in past posts--

    Decent enough for me
Probably if the water is much clearer and sharper shots of Fauna, that's what I hope to acheive

Anyway Chris, how did you manage to get the tank glass to be in parallel to the camera screen?

    Izzat,
It is not easy to get the verical lines parallel with most consumer camera and lenses. However, this can be easily fixed with most photo editing programs. The feature is call perspective correction. These programs can also correct straight lines which appear curve in the photo.

I just took it with a tripod + a spirit level to make sure everything is more or less in position..
