mmm… got some, not much, also not good looking, not colouring up properly. anyway do note that Badis can change their colours very quickly, drastically, so consider that when identifying.

    Badis corycaeus

    Badis cf. kanabos

    Badis assamensis

I should add that Badis spp. are big in general (2-3 inches) and not suitable for small tanks. What is really small sized is the Dario spp. which was previously classified together with Badis.

Badis spp. is what fish? I have never seen them before. Your sp Kanabos looks very nice. Where did u last see it? Mine is greyish only.

Badis is indeed a very nice fish, I like the shape of the fish.

    And perhaps, Dario dario too?

But of course, if you have Badis ferrarisi or Badis tuivaiei, you'd really be envied.
Got all through Gratiola. But 3 different species

The body pattern are different. One is confirm the Badis Corycaeus. I thought badis used to be known as Badis Burmanicus

spp. simply means "species" (plural form) lah. the second fish is cf. kanabos which means something that looks almost similar to a B. kanabos but non-conclusive whether it is really different.

Badis burmanicus is no longer valid. I think the species is now Badis assamensis.

Do kanabos really grow to 2-3 inches?
Mine so far is ok with the dwarf cories and rubies.

One very interesting behaviour about my fishes is that they tend to emerge together from a cave shaped structure of plants. That is where they will commonly be at for most of the time.
Not at the other side of the tank, not near the top, not the middle level, just bottom right. Very interesting.
    Cheers,
    Andrew

Andrew, they're by nature cave-dwellers. If yours appeared out of the cave together, they're probably going to breed soon.

yea, but fishes like boraras and microrasboras swim in the mid chord. It's very nice to see how many different swimming styles there are amongst fishes. We have got the fast swimmers (M. Kubotais), the poking behaviour (cories), darting and stopping (pencils), drifters (boraras), etc
    Cheers,
    Andrew
