Oceanfree is a QH product?
i know this sounds a bit silly but i had been using "monster roots" as trace for my tank since it has been proven to be effective as base fert. what i do is to dissolve one cube of MR to 250ml of water (my own estimation) and dose as normally required for trace.
have just completed my first 250ml, results so far is fine with plants growing well, no algae boom or what so ever. though of sharing this personal experience and maybe some forumers here have tried it before would like to comment. note that i use it together with "loose fert" kno3 etc., seachem excel and seachem iron.
i ever try to find out the actual content of the MR but with no results, just manage to discover that it may be a Holland pond fert which QH repackaged and sell as MR on the local market.
so does anyone knew the actual content of MR?

I believe it is called "Root Monster". Comes in 2 form, loose pellet or the compacted form.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

That method is feasible. If it works, why not? Many still believe in substrate fertilisation I was told.
I have seen Farmart selling the loose granules in tubs. Very very cheap.Originally Posted by BFG

go china buy lagi cheap! there is a lot of products which i had seen there being repackaged and sold here. "root monster" look-a-like(to me 100%) is being sold as holland pond fert there.
next trip there will bring some back and also to look out for "loose powder fert" which i believe on gani sack won't cost much but must see transportation fee worth it or not.
anyway, its a bit going out point of this thread already, anyone know the exact content of "root monster"?
