    Hi everybody,
Can advise how tall the Barclaya Longifolia Red can grow up to?
Mine reaches 15-20cm in height and still growing higher
Some postings were saying it can grew up to 1 ft.

Is this plant meant for mid/background?
Can we keep trimming the leaves to "teach" it to stay low and compact?
Thanks in advance for the advises.

    Regards
    Chan

Leaves of Barclaya longifolia can grow up to 2 ft long. Most of the time the petiole will be almost as long as the depth of the water with the leaves draping over the water surface. You can try triming, but personally, I do not have much luck to "train" it to grow low. Do also take note that this plant will occasionally go into a dormant state that can last a few months.
