    Hi

Just starting on my plant tank and I have difficulty with plant identification.

I have researched on the web and put the names next to the pics see below url: http://web.singnet.com.sg/~kwangjw/

Please let me know how many of those I got it right.

ps. the tank is very bare... so I need to get some more.

    Thanks.

    Anthony.

    I cannot see plant 1

    Plant 2: Hygrophila difformis
    3: Bacopa carolina
    4: Hygrophila stricta (I think)
    5: Cardemine lyrata is correct
    6: Myrophillum aquaticum

the spelling maybe wrong, cos all tikum one.

    1 looks like Bacopa monnieri.

6 looks like a Limnophila species.

#1 is the emersed form of Rotala indica (or rotundifolia)
Still think #6 is Myriophyllum aquaticum. It will grow fast and may grow out of the water

After taking the inputs and do more surfing on the net:

    Plant 2 is Hygrophila difformis
Plant 5 is Cardemine lyrata (Chinese Ivy)
    Plant 6 is Myrophillum aquaticum

The rest I'm still not 100% sure (perhaps I'll take more pictures and post..)

    Plant 1 - ?

    Plant 3
    - Bacopa carolina or Bacopa monnieri or Rotala rotundifolia
    - I think Bacopa monnieri is the closest with more spaced out nodes and oval leaves

    Plant 4
    - all three suggested below seem possible
    a) Hygrophila Polysperma (Indian WaterFriend)? http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/Plants/Hygro-poly.jpg

    b)Hygrophila corymbosa ("Stricta&quot ? http://www.hmprod.net/aquariums/page...a_stricta0.htm

    c) Emersed Hygrophila lacustris

#1 I am sure it is Rotala indica (rotundifolia)... just wait for the submersed leaves to grow out.

#3 is confirm Bacopa caroliniana. you want to confirm, just wait it grows emerse and its flower will be purple.

#4 is confirm NOT Hydrophila polysperma
