    Set your cam on manual, find the proper settings by focusing on a part of the tank that doesn't have any white(like a leaf) then use those settings for your shots even if your lightmeter says otherwise.

    when using flash I think best to rely on cam metering. but must try various metering modes and metering points. problem with white sand is that it will reflect and mess up the exposure on the fish.

    In any case it will be very difficult to get proper exposure. In wedding pix at least we can bounce lights onto the bride's face, plus she is more willing to cooperate than the fishes

    I beg to differ... some models are harder to shoot than fishes... You'll never hear a fish say "But my agency photographer never said that..."

    shoot brides lah, they are definitely more accomodating.

    Actually it's MUCH easier to take 2 shots and just photoshop/GIMP them
