Hey Damo,
Looks to me like Jap rush, but i guess only philip can accertain their ID.
Hello folks,
can anyone (Phillip? )tell me what the plant on the very last pic on the far left is?
http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=13074
It looks like long grass or reeds with white flowers on top with yellow centers.
I could have sworn once I came across a thread where the construction of 'Mystic Falls' was shown step by step- but of course now I can't
find it!
Thanks
Damian.

Hey Damian,
I'm pretty certain the plant is Dichromena colorata. First seen a pic of it in the book "The Modern Japanese Garden" by Shunmyo Masuno, 2002. Its called white-top sedge in the book. The text says it was imported from Florida. I did a google search and found a picture from this website:

Websites call it stargrass (isn't that Didiplis diandra ) , originating from Florida. Well, that's my opinion, only Phillip can be sure if there was a plant label that came with it. Would sure like to know where he got it from. I want one too

Hey Min and Jerome,
thanks for your replies!
I found it listed under Dichromena cordata (I think) on an
Aussie pond supplie site except it is 'rarely available'
I'm considering some pickeral rush as well.
