    Hi

What's the height of these E. tenellus suppose to be?
Have seen some display tanks with very tiny tenellus, but mine seem to grow
    till about 2 inches.

Mine can grow till 6". Anyway, I would just uproot those tall one and keep those young and short runners.

Uprootting tenellus sometimes seems heartbreaking cos everytime I pull one, a whole patch follows. Normally with lower lighting they grow taller. My experience is that certain area of my tank are shaded they grow tall and the area they have plenty of access light they remain small and short.
    Cheers!!

    Hi,

If mine is the same species you are talking about then it ranges from 2 inches to 4 to 5 inches tall. Those taller one are seen gathering at the back where it is shady. Seems like shade does have an effect on it? anyone?

I think this is typical of most plants which are light demanding. They will grow taller so that they can reach enough light.
