    What test kits do you guys buy? Brand? ~ price?

    you should have at least kh and ph test kits. tetra and aquarium pharmaceuticals are some of the brands available.
    other test kits (fe, no3, po4) will be needed if you are interested in knowing the amount of different nutrients in the water.

    Somehow I try to aviod to even be tempted to use test kits... I dun think it is necessary... But that is just my opinion... I believe that sometimes ignorance is a bliss... I mean, if you do a test and find out that the water is this and that, then you tend to want to meddle with it to bring it to something/somewhere you want somehow... IMHO, you will then tend to spend time and effort trying to create a 'suitable' environment when it might already be one... And then you forget to relax and enjoy fish keeping/planting, which is usually what brings you to the hobby...

    But, if there IS something wrong with the tank, then perhaps it might be necessary find out why, so as to correct the wrong...

Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

    Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

    i bought "nutrafin" ph test, ard 12+ dollar i think, forget too...lasted me very long, still using cos can use for 225 test....

    i got "Sera" kh test.....still using as i dun test regulary, if u change only small amt of water weekly, kh wont fluctuate much
    i'm ADDicted to this wonderful hobby

    i using tetra 5 in 1 test strips... test for KH, GH, NO3, NO2 and PH...
    bought for 28... sometimes some colours not very accurate...

    Mm... thinking of getting PH KH test kit to roughly determine the CO2 in my tank, I can't seems to find the aquarium pharmaceuticals brand test kits.
