I perfer coverage over intensity. For a 2 ft tank, I prefer to use FL lighting as it has more complete end to end coverage with a spread lighting thus making plants grow upwards not forward or backwards due to its grow-spur towards light source.
Hey people,
2 questions.
1. has anyone experience like plant from the back corners bending towards the centre while using the standard 2x36 watts pl light set mounted on the stand for the normal 2x1x1 tank?
2. im also currently using a 2x36watts pl light set for my 2x1x1.5ft tank but i am thinking of getting 2 seprate sets of 36 watts pl to get a better spread. will it affect the existing plant growth because the lighting intensity is lowered as its coverage has spread.
comments please

i use the 2 x 36 w PL as well. However, it may be better if you have the tubes placed end to end so that it covers the whole tank. Mine doesnt really bend towards the centre as you said.
FL you may find it hard to hit the 3wpg ratio, thats one drawback. But heard that ADAs FL are quite good but not really sure myself about it
