Sometimes is when you add a new plant, these yamatos will crowd round the plants searching for food.

It's very possible you have one female and 49 males. When females are about to lay eggs they release a chemical into the water that attracts all the males.

Another explaination would be that there is something wrong with your water and the little guys are desperate to get out of the tank.

i thought so at first. but all my fishes are not affected at all. Neon tetra are very sensitive fishes rite??? Anyway if it's water problem the shrimps should be like going crazy banging around and lied down instead of still eating isn't it?

    advise plss...

i did a 20% water change, off the co2 what else do i need to do???

Then it's probably a case of 49 guys and 1 available girl... If you don't know male shrimp have concave abdomens. As in the little swimming legs aren't covered by the shell. Females have convex abdomens to protect the eggs. Try removing the female, the males should calm down after awhile. Or you could just let nature take it's course and let your fish have a little yamato egg salad in a few days.
