    anybody see this plant in shops?
    Echinodorus quadricostatus var. ''magdalenensis''
    looks like stargrass but it's not...
    grows up to 15 cm...

    Yes. I have seen it. It used to be found in the 'outside' planted tank at Gan Aquarium.

    I used to get it from Teo Farm. They should still have it. They call it "Small Sword" in Hokkien.

    The last time I went I did not see that plant inside the tank anymore. Even its moss tank do not look as nice as it used to. Seems like he removed most of his xmas moss. Currently, they use MH which is blusih and "dark". Perhaps trying to do a'la Marine tank???

    does he have altums as well? just thought i'd do an lfs of singapore thing on my next trip and get some stuff that i don't see in kl.

    I have a couple of these growing in my tanks (I'm in KL now). Not much, only a few plants. Standoyo, if you still haven't got yours, I can spare you one or two. They grow plantlets really fast.

    Once cleaned out nearly 40 individual plants from my 20 gallon. Had to make way for some mini E. tennelus with reddish leaves. Threw them into another tank outside and in neglect, they faded away somewhat. Now only left with a few strong ones.
