Some kind of moth cat - family Erethistidae. Can be anything. You'll need a very clear picture for a certain ID.

Thank you stormhawk. You wouldn't happen to know any general info on them... Would you? Like size? Diet?
It's just a guess actually though I'm certain that its at least a moth catfish.
They don't grow very big. Yours is probably adult size. They will feed on live tubifex worms and frozen bloodworms I think. Though I doubt they feed on algae. Mine are always gorging themselves on live worms.

its one of the hara's, but as been said a better pix would be helpful,
Thanks for the responses... I think mickthefish said it best.... It's one of the Haras... Which, I can't exactly pin point, but it's good to know they don't get too big. It sucks that they don't eat algae, but I think they're pretty cool looking and I don't regret getting it.
Yup, I think its Hara Hara. small catfish, gentle, err.. don't think it eats algae and origins in India I think.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
Thanks Michael, I found a diagram online showing the different fin shapes and yes, it is a Hara Hara.

the name on the fact sheet is a good friend of mine, adrian taylor remember that name, he's doing an extensive study on the haras, one day you will be able to read it,
and as it said he's the only guy in the uk to breed them,
cheers mick
No problem, Brian. I'm a catfish nut anyway.

Before a confirmed ID is given, it is best not to call it Hara hara. Some of the Hara that do get imported can be any of the species so any ID for this genus can be very difficult. Get a better pic, show it to Bagrus Dude on PF and ask his opinion. He's the best man to ask regarding these little Erethistids.
