    Hi,

I have weeping and taiwan moss. To make a 3 feet tank backdrop, which type of moss will look nice?

Where to get the material for backdrop??

Xmas moss is a good choice for the background. Should be able to find the material from NA, C328 or Petmart.

Between weeping and taiwan moss, I would choose taiwan moss.....
The material are easily available at most LFS, green soft mesh

I prefer taiwan moss. Saw NA selling tree bark for background. You can wind the moss up with cotton thread or thin fishing line, it will look great too. But, when the moss grow too think, it will block the tree bark effect. So, you can choose between plastic mesh or tree bark.

Both Taiwan and Christmas are good for background.
Weeping moss is more difficult to grow, unless you have a chiller and low bio-load and weeping moss looks better on driftwood.

Weeping is more neat for moss wall...

    Black plastic mesh can get from IMM level 3 Daiso ($2 / pkt = 6 pcs) 6" x 6"

weeping moss needs <28C. whether you use chiller or fan really up to you. not difficult but i won't say easy. i have like two grapefruit balls extra from last rescape.

Yes, Christmas moss is very dark green in colour... I have 2 logs of that and initially I tot my 'Taiwan' moss is dying... Then I remembered I bought them as Christmas moss from Gen-X (defunct) and they are still living...

How much of moss to cover 2.5 ft by 2 ft? 3 tub or 4 or 5 tubs?
