last sunday, abt 7 days ago, i tore down a completely BGA infested tank,
got new plants and gravel and set-up the tank again.

but after 7 days, i see traces of the BGA again.

should i do a black-out? or would adding in more nitrates help at this point in time? I'm concerned about doing the black out would prevent the new plants from settling in well.

After i tore down the tank, i've washed everything including the filter.
    after setting up, i've also added no3 - 10ppm, k+ - 10ppm, po4 - 2ppm and 3ml flourish into the tank.

    tank specs
    24" x 12" x 12"
    non-co2
    36watts x 10hrs a day
    1week old

java fern, crypt wendtii, crypt walkeri, hairgrass
    2 x glowlight tetra
    5 x yamato

    Bga

if you're really desperate.... introduce antibiotics... the ones we consume... break up the pill and mix with water and pour the whole solution in before you do your blackout... should clear up in 2/3 days

Usually this is how i clear my BGA if i have any.....
    1) change 50 % of the water
    2) clean your filter
    3) blackout 3-4 days ( off CO2 )
    4) check on the 4th day... if BGA still present... carry on with blackout treatment
    5) once BGA clear... dose nutrients.

    hope this helps
