    well, since I posted that new loach with long eye spine, here's pix of the Kottelatlimia katik collected from Ayer Hitam. Specimens courtesy Azmi of Eco Culture.
    the etymology of the specific epithet katik is from the Malay word for "short" or "dimunitive".
