Yes i agree but i don't have cash at the moment too bad...
someone is selling a half-year old 550EX flash for $450 here http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=167662
if you are serious in shooting your fish, has a Canon camera with hotshoe, then this is a damn good deal.
Buy! Buy! Buy!

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
what lens did you get?
when I got into this, I spent the money on flash and wireless as you cannot do without them. I spent much less on the body (in fact it's just a digicam!). But the combo gets the job done, not perfect but works.
I don't think I'll manage what I have done spending on a DSLR and good lens but without flash.

Sigma 105mm macro. I like playing with it... But yes, agree, flash is very important... But well, I can do more non-fish photography first...

how much is that lens? now must starting thinking of my telephoto coverage, so far I have only the EF-S 17-85 and the EF 100 Macro, so need something like 70-300 ISOriginally Posted by Justikanz

I agree. Flash is a godsend for aquatic photography.. This is a decent deal, especially since it's still under warranty (remember to ask for photocopy of receipt).
Cheers,
p.s DON'T GET THE 75-300! DON'T SHOOT NON FISH PHOTOGRAPHY. IT'S A TRAP.
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
why? I heard my EF 100mm makes a great portrait lens. so I should start signing up for model shootsOriginally Posted by benny

choy, you are better off with either the 70-200 or the 300f4 IS
not the 300 F4, I need tele coverage lah.
