I think everybody can do their own part, in big and small ways.. from voicing their concerns to demonstrate that there are people out there who care, to those who adopt more 'eco-friendly' lifestyles (it's possible!) or take more proactive measures. Doing nothing is almost as good as giving up.

Mike, did you get the email I forwarded to you from MNS? I was out of town these few days and could not follow up.

no, i didn't receive anything. In fact, there are a lot of logging activities in Sarawak. In the past, a lot of people were arrested for protesting against the logging activity. So...thing is a bit complicated here. I will do my part in showing the picture of deforestation in other part of borneo in 2006.

i don't want to get involve in anything or communicate with MNS people. I prefer to be "neutral".

Govt. here got the rights to issue the licence to any logging companies & arrest anyone who want to stop the "legal" logging activity.

Kuching, is it possible that the logging is to clear a thick part of the jungle? Replant some trees and then go to another area again? You can try to find such information and trace back which area was logged before and what happen to that area after the logging. You need strong facts more and pictorial will back it up.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
