I don't recall seeing any 6 cm specimens locally.
Excellent photography!
Cheers,
the regular LFS penguin tetra, is it the Thayeria obliqua considering the given size of T. boehlkei is only 3.2cm (although reported could get up to 6cm)?

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I used to have a lone surviving penguin that grows to 6cm. It lived for about 3 years...

Definitely Thayeria boehlkei. T. obliqua has an angled black band on the body, and I don't think I've seen it locally yet.
I don't quite like the Thayeria species. They can get pretty aggressive.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.

No Thayeria for me at this moment but thanks for the offer. Downsizing some tanks to make way for my toy collection instead.
