    benny, can you see that red flare just after the caudal of the first pix? don't know how it got there, and I'm using a lens hood some more.

    no its some sort of reflection or flare, you can see it is in front of the leaf. the 100mm macro hood is long so I have no idea where that came from, and it is always red. one possibility being the reflection of the ST-E2 flash, but I would think the hood would've block that.

    think I used f20, should have tried a larger aperture to blur the leaves
