not a good idea to predatorial and rowdy species with small shrimps. even though the badis may not be able to eat the shrimp, they may harass it or nip at their tailfins. the outcome is you will find many heibee on your floor and less and less shrimps in the tank
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Yes. I have seen badis disturbing the small shrimps. Do be careful.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

in my old shrimp tank, i kept a couple of badis with the cherries.
they'll spend their time hunting for baby shrimps. luckily, there was enough moss cover for the bb shrimps.

My experience is that if the shrimp are large enough, they will be safe, but, definitelt not the shrimplet ... badis badis love live food!
