The Feb 2006 TFH features an expedition to Malaysia (and Qian Hu) by an American fish hunter, who catches things from Hampala to Paros. nagyi and even Bala shark (I doubt this claim though).

There's also an interesting article on guppy evolution and behaviour, which tells of a study where in a tank of guppies with a pike cichlid some distance away, a few individuals will break away from the school and investigate the cichlid. Upon ascertaining the identity of the predator, they rush back to the school and 'report' their findings. The school then swims furiously in the opposite direction. *ahem* choy, is that what you did in the army??

Hmmm.. My subscription is always 2 months late. No fun.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

no ar. I'm the one who fires streams of gonopodium at the pike.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
