    Need anyone's help.Whenever I attach my diy co2 system to the tank,all my tank inhabitants rise to the surface.R they suffocating?How to remedy this?

    wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having a CO2, adding of airpump will cause the loss of CO2...

    but you balance having co2 and killing off all your fish, which is more important?

    how is your diy co2 being supplied to your tank? reactor? what's your kH?
    could be either pH crash or co2 overdose, but since it's diy co2, i don't think so

    normally discus are quite finicky about co2 at the beginning, and do strange things until they get used to it
    but once they're accustomised, pH swings of 2 units+ doesn't phase them
    my tank water once hit 4.2
    no abnormal behaviour observed, but they're heckel discus
