If it was me, I would just use HC with a dash of dwarf hairgrass just where the rocks meet the substrate.
Nice layout!
Cheers,
Today just have a sudden urge to set up a 8inch cube tank.
it been a long time since i try my hands on a nano tank.
Would like to seek advise to improve of it.
It would be a rock tank with low maintainence plant. It has no base fert. (might put in ferka rosette)
Any suggestion for plants.
I thinking of using spiky moss as the foreground. wonder parva would be good to fill up the space at the top
comments pls

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I am scaping for a friend. the problem is that the owner is a newbie. and it is a low maintainence tank. no co2 plus there is no base fert

HC might be a tad slower then glossostigma but i love that idea. Simple and nice rather then complicated and messy.

can find diplo for you but you have to pay yourself, how dare you ask me for sponser knowning my plight
On a serious note, don't cramp the small tank with too many plants 1 or 2 type will be more then ample.
It's prudent not to over stock that tank also, so 1 algae eater, a few shrimps if not keeping any apisto and a few tetra or a pair of apisto.

Thats why i suggested diplo small and nice. Actually the easier species can go into small tanks without any problem, provided they don't breed.

HC does not need co2 to grow, it will just grow slower water colum ferts.
