    Hiya,

Got budget to spare for some my aquarium so looking to buy some 'lifestock' for my 3.5 footer.

My shopping list consists of the following:

    10 x Yamatos
    maybe a pair of Apistos?
Actually looking for a male A. Panduro & a female Caca to pair up my mismatched fishies.
Oh yeah maybe a snail or 2 (the smallish type, not to apple snails)

Anyone going on some CNY shopping?
    Got recommendations.
I think I can probably get the shrimps & snails from NA.
    Apistos from biotope?

Thanks a million Fei Miao for your suggestion.

Went there today, definitely worth the trip.
Got a pair of wild A. agassizii
    a pair of goldline cories
    5 yamatos
1 pot of plant (which i don't know what, but just wanted to try out)

As mentioned in the other thread, Ben was real helpful, helping me make up my mind about which pair of Apistos to go for.

Damn, forgot about the snails & difuser, I was intending to get.
Guess have to go there again soon.

Er... Ben told me wild ones, can trust him right?
Hmmm... I saw mostly Agassizii, but there were a few bags with cockatoo like finage, though didn't really look carefully, cos they were still in their bags.
The other guy said he was still trying get the water ph ready for their liking so they were still in the bags. Only one pair was already swimming in their own tank.

Maybe you want to post a picture of your Aga?
Wild or not, so long as you find its a good pair, that's satisfaction enough.
Its difficult to tell if its wild if its been conditioned well.
Otherwise, wild Apistos are actually quite unsightly..
Torn fins, sunken stomach, very skittish..

Ok will do. Hope u don't mind the pic quality though.
Yeah fins were a bit torn. Colours not as brilliant as some of my other apistos.
But at least they look like they are settling in.

    Choy thanks for the offer.
I must learn to restrain and give other Apisto bros here a chance.. hehe.

Giant, you said you saw some Cacatouides-like finnage Apistos.
You mean those with Red finnage and black spots?
    Like this?
By the way, if its those as described, those are tank-bred.

Yeah saw some like those, but definitely not like the cover pic, which looks photoshopped man.
Similar shape but colours not as brilliant, rather dull, actually I can't even remember the colour but I didn't examine those too closely as they were still in the bags floating around & I was more interested in the agassiziis.

Though this is only Jan this may well go down as the biggest joke of the year.. Today I saw all bags of apistos floating in coral-chip-filled tank.. A few pairs have already been released into the tank (with coral chip as substrate). I mean.. isn't true that apistos prefers acidic water???

Hi Giant, thanks for the update.

Benetay, congrats! Looks like your Super Red Caca's colours are indeed exceptional to be deemed Photoshopped!
