It means you have other unread posts in that section. Probably in another page. Just click on "mark forum read" url at the base of the index frame and everything will be marked read.

Again this is related to how the forum determines what is read or unread. Previously, it was by your last login date. Now the forum is tracking each individual thread and user.
We did this so that you can see "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contains unread posts" when you select Get New Posts -> New Posts:
