hi ahkarboy,
I have breed many cherry shrimps but not tiger shrimp.
My tiger shrimp always died after a few weeks.
Can you give us some information of your tank parameters ?
- What is the temperature in the tank ?
- Did you use a fan ?
- What is the pH ?
- What substrate did you use ?
- What kind of plant are in the tank ?
- How much lighting did you use ?
- How often did you do a water change ?
- How much % of water did you change each time ?
Hopefully, this information can help us suceed.
I thought tiger shrimps are easy to breed? I had lots of tiger shrimplets when I was just less than 1 year into planted hobby and I thought they just breed like rabbit in any normal planted setup. No?
Is this the shrimp that we are talking about ?

I have no luck with Tigers too... Maybe Ahkarboy can share his secrets... Tigers are quite pretty shrimps... It would be good to have some babies from them...

My tigers and bees don't even survive more than 2 weeks in my tank! Congrats! congrats!
saw a lot of Tiger Shrimps at NA today, very nice and beautiful, at first wanna to buy some, but when i think that i will travelling by MRT and bus back to Jurong West, don't know the shrimps can 'tahan' the long 1hr journey or not, so give up lo.
anyone face this b4 and safely bring ur shrimps home?
If u keep it in the plastic bag and away from sunlight (increase temp?) and also try not to shake them too much (like finding nemo the little girl), I think even longer journey still ok. Else can get from C328 which is nearer (I have bought my tiger & bee shrimp there before). Need to proper acclimatised them before putting into your tank or at least a matured tank.Originally Posted by wfc31

Just started blogging my experience in: http://www.dikiaquarium.blogspot.com/
2 ft planted tank, 2 ft low maintenance planted tank & planted shallow tank left now
Not forgetting it is almost compulsory to add some moss or leaves for the shrimps to "hold on" during transport. Remember to tape up the two corners as well.Originally Posted by diki
If buying from NA, Mr Chan will do that for the shrimps.
