LFS report and red rubin buy

Went to see this recently opened LFS near my place today: called ominously Bubble Fish (Blk 351 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10). A little lot right opposite a dedicated Luohan shop [stops meself from going....]

Anyway, a mix of small fish, African cichlids, discus and [ahem] LHs, but fair enough. The couple-operator even have a small but unusual plant selection: medium red rubin for $7 (I bought one), nice crypt wendtiis, java moss ($10 per thick bunch), and bogwood ($10 per kg). Also got JBL plant stuff and test kits, and CO2 sets.

I say, keep it up and I really rather patronise such shops, even if the price is somewhat higher than the big name shops and farms. Well, factor in the time and transport, and it probably evens out. Will drop by again in a couple of weeks.

BTW, is the red rubin same as red horemanii? And is it tough to grow?

yap... visited the shop last week when they have theiropening sale10-30%... bought 2 louches...not too bad lah.... at least they sell other fishes than BIG head LH.... saw a CO2 tank going for $160.....
