it's nice. What's the reddish plants behind? However, I think a 2ft tank is too small for an aro. It will out grow the tank in no time! Better start preparing a larger tank!

I thought so too. Arowanas can grow pretty fast.Originally Posted by nostalgia

Though I do not have too much experience, I think a planted 2 feet tank is not appropriate for an aro. First because of the tank small size. second, i think you will not be able to feed the aro to its real need in a planted tank. Third, if ur plants get sick, most likely ur aro will be sick due to poor water condition.
the plants on the right size will grow tall, and out of water. so aro will have even less space to swim around.
I would personally put aro in a tank with only sand (gravel).
Oh. Thanks for the comments. Don't know much about aros. Will tell my dad when he gets back. But won't fishes do better in a planted tank? instead of a tank with just sand? The red plant at the back is some cheapo 1 pot for 1 dollar plant at Y618.
Yes they'll do better in a planted tank, but considering the size of the aro and the size it will be when it grows up..
I think it would be a real shame to put a fish like an arrowana in a sand only tank - surely this is most unnatural but also unstimulating? I have seen large planted tanks with arrowanas in and they look absolutely stunning...Originally Posted by AquaObsession

its ALSO not natural to put aro in a densely platned tank...
Planted aro tank is nice! But gotta pay more attention on the water parameter. =) cheers! Gong Xi Fa Cai to everyone!
