Wow... I like this one... Is the specimen stressed or is this its natural colouration?
this also caught from Ayutthaya of Thailand, about 18mm SL. Looks like a young Rhinogobius giurinus

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
it is a little stressed, but the natural colour is light black blotches over translucent base. very good camouflage!

Oooh!! Pretty! Almost like the glass goby! These creatures are hard to photograph!
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
not too bad. only problem is that they spread their fins fully only when stuck to the glass wall.

Love that pose man! Look at the spread out pectorial fins! Was it trying to display to your Canon EF 100 mm f2.8 USM macro?

You noticed that F22 is not as sharp as F11 right? But DOF is much better.Originally Posted by hwchoy

yah, that's why have to be mindful what I am trying to capture, a specific feature (let's say eyes or lips) or the overall look of the frontal view.

BTW Helen Larson identified this as a youngish Pseudogobius siamensis.
