Hey, that's a simple but nice setup!
Now you've given me an idea of what to do with my spare 2ft tank, tub of Java moss and a yet-to-open Eden 501.
One of my favourite tank, which I seldom touch. No water change, only do top up once every few days. It's been 1 mth since setup.
Pardon me for the poor picture quality. I really am no photographer. Those baskets you see are used for housing other plants.

P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!
FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.
Looking good man! The floating baskets reminds me of lanterns. Like mid autumn festival!
Did you manage to get the spare hose?
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I'm currently housing some Emersed Pelia in the baskets. Going to use them for another scape once I move, which should be in time for them to turn submersed.Originally Posted by benny

hmmm...tat spiky moss looks familiar...hehee
No need substrate for such a set-up right? Just tie the moss onto mesh and place the meshes on the ground?
Got a spare 1.5 footer that I'm thinking of setting up as a shrimp breeding tank.
No need for a substrate at all. Moss doesn't need base ferts mah...Originally Posted by Valjean

Just tie with clear, thin fishing line. 1 thin layer of moss will do.Originally Posted by doublej

wow... nice tank for shrimps!
Hi, any advantage of tying your moss to coconut husks instead of wire meshes? where can u get the husks and wouldn't the husks float??
No advantages. Just that I had these from long ago and I didn't want to waste them. Think I ordered them from abroad. No one use them here anyway.Originally Posted by yampeck
I don't know whether they naturally flat or sink but I use them as I did not want to waste materials and they sink in my case.

moss n cherry what can i say ,its looks beautiful when both are together / simple but very beautiful greens n wait till the back moss grows thick lagi swee
Teo's farm uses coconut husk for their java fern too. Nice moss gowth you have! I like your idea of using that plastic grids as a support for bg, i guess it will be more stable than just using mesh alone. Well done!Originally Posted by Weirong

is the Eden 'powerful' enought to handle 3ft tank? is the output from the spray bar strong enought to circulate the water? tia
Yes! Definately enough for the tank. I use the mist method so I can see good distribution of the CO2 as well.Originally Posted by Ian Lim
