It reminds me of the surface of my Valis nana.
Thick hard leaves?
I thought it was a closeup of a Val too! But foreground plant? No idea at all...

Squeel, my Vals nanas look just like the ones in the second pic!
Is this how they are supposed to look like?

What I meant was the leaves of my Vals nana look the similar as that in your photo. It has "leopard spots" on the hard and narrow leaves. Just to confirm with Squeel if its the Vals nana or its something else.Originally Posted by standoyo

Mine had sort of spots... might be due to algae though.
standoyo, forgot how big my plant is already
Let's not go off topic, I suggest you take another picture and upload it to the AQ Photo Gallery and link it here. Bigger pics, as well as clearer and different profile shots.
okey dokey...as soon as i figure out how to...
anyway the clue is that the fg i planted them in is very nutrient low in fg. the hg is like 1.5 in.
the unidentified plant grows taller in some parts of the tank. [presumably better fertilisation]
please wait. i will uproot one and snap a proper picture.

this fella is approx 6 inch tall stretched
i will keep an eye on it's growth...it could grow taller. i have some others that are taller but they do not have the pattern on the leaves.
