    Thanks JC for your advice.
    I'm thinking of getting the test strip to measure multiple parameters (eg, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate), just for rough gauge of water quality.
    Used any of these b4? any recommendations?

    1) DSB
    2) Denitrator
    3) Refugium

    What's your advice on this?

    The only testkit I'll recommend is from Salifert. Athough not cheap but u'll sure its accurate to a certain extend. Gd investment.

    U can skip the NH4, NO2 testkits if u have the discipline to wait for 3-4weeks to complete the cycling process. Cos after cycling, u'll hardly use them.

    Testkit I'll recommend, NO3 and PO4 are a must. U'll probably need to get a dKh and calcium testkit eventually.

    My 2cts.

    I've not used Jaubert system thus not fair to comment on this system. Guess u already know my opinion on DSB.

    NO3=nitrate, PO4=phosphate (rite?).
    Does Salifert has strip type for these 2 parameters?

    KH & calcium already have liao.

    Ya. Spots on.

    Salifert testkits are drip bottle color change type. Easy to use also.

    Cheers
