The day my Pelia died on me ... sob

I planted a full 2x2 feet backdrop of pelia, painstakingly transplanting over a few months to achieve the coverage. Started with only a very small handful of tore-up plants.

To my horror after a weeks' business trip away, the whole backdrop of pelia turned brown It all died!!!!!!!

The other plants including taiwan moss, java fern, hairgrass, japonica were all alright. Why???

Any problem with the light or filtration during the week you were gone?

This plant will normally die only if temperature is intolerable....
And to all turn brown in a week???
