    Good lighting there! Love the details on the body.

    The first and the last shot is great. Foilage is a little distracting though, but not really an issue.

    Mervin, I really have to give it to you. Everything I see you picture, your skills seems to go up a notch.

    thanks benny, i was really surprised that these shots turned out ok cos it was really dark(7pm), under tree (more darkness), slow shutter(1/6 and 1/10) and the only light i got was from this chap torch which he has not change batteries in ages....

    best part, he was shooting with a huge video camera !

    Well. Must be some poweful torch. Can even see the catchlight in the eye.

    damn swee leh. I am surprised the bird held so still for 1/10s. Tripod?
    why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    try holding a 20D + 500f4 + flash at 1/10 sec and not moving lah !

    what really amazed me was that the bird was moving its whole body bathing, but its head is so still .

    actually i was trying to get higher to "include" its feet.
    this fella has picked a pool up on some rocks formation to take a bath.
