not sure if YOUNG toads secrete toxins
but adult toads do
that said and done, you sure those are toads among the feeders?
hi a lot of lfs r mixin the feeder frogs wif baby toads.is it good for the fish cos i believe toad r poisonous,arent they?tks in advance.

some of them display the pattern of a toad body.ie the colourful stripes.

Huh u r sure? better check the frogs before i feed. small ones or big ones? i think eating a toad can kill the fish

keep those "frogs" and sell them at a discount to those LH keepers.. was appalled by the appetite of LH today when i overheard a fellow aquarist telling the LFS owner that his box of hikari BW finished within a week.. coz lack of frogs..

well, if you want blooworm. I THINK stock just came in.
Anyway, all my snakeheads died a very horrible death, went into spasm and died, apparently something from the frogs they ate cause they spat it all out.

are they like a olive/light green against dark green ?
and also, the body shape ??
anyway....at this size, i will not be bothered. and anyway, if they secrete anythign, the fish may just spit it out anyway

but toads only display that patterning when they're mature, no?
then doesn't it mean it's NOT a toad?
its just feeder frogs its not the colour or strip that will destingish it as a toad or a frog .. its the shape and many other characteristics.. dun scared other ppl can or not
