I suppose they mean a rainbar positioned above the water level splashing down into the tank. Oxygenated water = oxidised plant nutrients? Lol.
ah! I reading incorrect info from Aquajournal?
It might, it might not. Different people have different ways of interpreting things. Aquajournal is also one of the companies who maintain that nitrate and phosphate in the water will cause algae.
But hey, they produce good results when you use all their products together!
Well, this hobby is progressing everyday. A lot of things that were published in the older issues of magazines or older books were "correct" then. Later research or experiences would dis-prove them.
When reading older books and magazines, do keep that in mind. Even with the Internet. If you dig thru the archives of older mailing lists and forums, you will find information that were then considered "correct" but now widely considered as incorrect.
Planted hobby, with it's wide range of parameters, isn't an exact science. And it being a hobby, many of the theories that come out have not been thru rigourous testing. Few hobbyists have access to the neccessary equipment and literature to do it too. Few too have the time nor the inclination to conduct the necessary experiments (those that can be done with easily available resources) on their tanks to prove a theory.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
