Ranmasatome's advertisement http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=18609 alerted me to the existence of a local aquatic fern with bolbotis-like colouration, and I was delighted to buy it at C328, to add to my longkang fish tank (South East Asian biotope )

However, I don't seem to be able to get much information from the web and most sites claim that this is a bogplant and not a true aquatic.

Anybody with experience growing this fern care to share info on its preferred conditions?

Will hard water (dGH 10+), high temperature (28deg), non-co2. high water circulation, mid light (shaded region of 3WPG), be ok for this plant to grow on its wood base?

And is it REALLY a true aquatic?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
    Warm regards,

    Lawrence Lee

in the wild they grow by waterfalls and spraying streams, where the leaves get constant spray/mist of water, but are not submerged.

It's a bummer, I thought they looked nicer than Bolbitis. We need more fern-like plants here!

Yes, bummer. I really loved the shape of the plant. It's not the price of the plant but the shape and unique colouration that attracted me. Looks like it's time to relocate.

Do you reckon it'll survive sprayed by the filthy water of a Koi pond waterfall?
